  1. Knot
webbing, twine, string, strap or even chain interwoven so as to create in the line the ability to bind to itself or to some other object - the "load". Some knots are well adapted to bind to particular objects such as another rope, cleat, ring, stake or to constrict an object. Decorative knots usually bind to themselves to produce attractive patterns. For a list of knots (approx. 300) see: List of knots. Knots have been the subject of interest both for their ancient origins, common use or their mathematical implications, see knot theory. Knots are essential in many industrial, work, home

  4. Knitting needle
as a tool in the manufacture of hand knitted fabric. The needle is used to reach through a knitting stitch in order to snag a bight of yarn and pull a length back through the stitch to form a new loop at the top of the current wale of stitches. The simplest requirements of knitting needles are that they must be smooth, thin and long enough to reach through a stitch and strong enough not to break while manipulating the bight of yarn. Knitting needles, commonly used in pairs, are the only essential tools for hand knitting (Thomas, 1938; Hiatt, 1988).

in each zone (attack and defence). Scoring is done by throwing the ball through the other team's basket. After two goals the teams change zones: the defenders become attackers and attackers defenders. At half-time the teams change sides. (Graphical depiction of the rules in HTML and PDF formats) History Although sources are a bit hazy on this, it seems korfball is a descendant of basketball through an intermediate Swedisch sport called ringboll. The story goes that at the beginning of the 20th century a Dutch school teacher called Nico Broekhuysen was looking for a game that both the boys and the

and have shorter, thinner fur. Queensland Koalas were previously classified as the subspecies P. cinereus adustus, and the intermediate forms in New South Wales as P. cinereus cinereus. The variation from one form to another is continuous, and there are substantial differences between individual Koalas in any given region. Koalas live almost entirely on eucalyptus leaves: a mysterious choice of diet requiring a number of specialised adaptations, as eucalypt leaves are low in protein, high in indigestable substances, and contain phenolic terpene compounds that are toxic to most species. Like wombats, Koalas have a very low metabolic rate for a mammal

The Vedic pantheon is considered to consist of thirty-three different gods, which are placed, in groups of eleven, into one of the three different categories: atmospheric, terrestrial, or celestial, each of which has its own area of responsibility. But just because a god is in one category does not mean that it is completely different from a god from another category; for sometimes a god from one category will have some of the same qualities of

He takes his pamphlet and scribbles in, at the very end, the words "Exterminate the brutes!" He induces the natives to worship him, setting up rituals and venerations worthy of a tyrant.
